Who would have thought that there was a dessert parlour selling French crepes on Chapel St. Another new establishment that was discovered during our evening stroll after dinner was Pardon My French Creperie. A lucky little find on our stroll as we both were looking for something a little sweet to have after dinner. Pardon my French Creperie does sweet crepes as well as savoury crepes, depending on what you feel like.
The market stall, originally located in South Melbourne has moved to a more permanent location on Chapel St in South Yarra.
Strawberry Dream $9.50 with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (+$2.00)
Served with freshly sliced strawberries and white chocolate. A not too heavy nor too light combination sings to my heart. If I were to make these at home, I would go one less and only drizzle the white chocolate, serve the crepe with a bit more fruit with some ice cream only depending on my mood. But alas this was the closest thing they had to offer resembling a fruit salad.
The Big Kid $9.50 with two scoops of vanilla ice cream (+4.00)
As the name would suggest, this crepe was filled with all your childish delights including Nutella, marshmallows and 100s and 1000s. It was way too sweet and decadent for me, but Le Boy loved it and easily demolished it.
